Prime Golf Courses Near Northern California Active Adult Communities

If you are particular to golf courses near active adult communities in the East Bay, there are three in Brentwood worth checking out – all within a five minute drive of one another:

  1. Deer Ridge Country Club Golf Course - This 18-hole course measuring over 6,400 yards and playing to a par of 71 was designed by Andy Raugust. Want to get a group tournament going? Deer Ridge can help with planning, promotion, and management. Pick up any necessary items at the golf shop or grab a drink or bite to eat at The Deer Ridge Grille. If you need a place to host an event, Deer Ridge can accommodate a banquet for 300 people or more.

  1. Shadow Lakes Golf Course – This par 71 course was designed by Gary Roger Baird and is operated by Troon Golf (you may know of their courses in Los Cabos, Mexico, Texas, and Scottsdale, Arizona). The Baird's Crossing Bar and Grille is on site if you get hungry or thirsty.

  1. The Brentwood Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf and was designed by Ted Robinson. Here, you can choose to play your 18 holes between two of thee courses that have 9 holes each. The courses are Creekside, Hillside and Diablo. Putting greens and a practice facility are located here. Enjoy morning coffee and breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner at the Nines restaurant. This golf course also has a sports bar, conference rooms and banquet facilities available.

The Northern California active adult community of Trilogy at the Vineyards is located very close to the above mentioned golf courses. The homes here are highly stylized and elegant. Recent price reductions on these new homes make living in the Brentwood area quite affordable. Prices start from the low $500s.
